Fort Collins Massage Therapist
Mrs. Gretchen Pace
Massage Therapist and Cold Laser Specialist

I am Gretchen Pace, Certified Massage Therapist at WindSong Wellness Center. I grew up in the Fort Collins area, and currently live here with my wonderful husband and two beautiful children (along with my small zoo of two large dogs, and two cute kitties). It has been my pleasure to work with Dr. Melissa since 2002 – and I am still amazed by her on a regular basis. In my time at WindSong I have been lucky enough to see Dr. Melissa grow from healer to healer and mother, and to watch her find and align herself with other great doctors and staff. I feel truly blessed to love what I do, and to be able to work with the amazing, caring individuals who make up WindSong Wellness Center.

I received my Massage certification in 2004 from the Institute of Business and Medical Careers in Fort Collins. Massage Therapy is and has been a very rewarding career choice for me. My specialty is deep tissue massage. It is my belief and my practice that not all deep tissue work needs to be painful. There are many different techniques which I integrate into each session that will help to alleviate a trigger point or tender point with little or no pain. Some of the techniques I use are:

  • Positional Release Technique involves finding a tender point and then moving the body into a position which decreases that tenderness, allowing the area to be worked out more comfortably.

  • Low Level Laser Therapy helps to speed healing throughout the body on a cellular level.

  • Pain/Primal Reflex Release Technique is amazing work that quickly releases pain patterns in many of those “chronic areas” of the body. This is great work for many people, especially some hard to treat cases such as Fibromyalgia.

  • Guasha breaks up adhesion's in the muscles leaving a rash or bruise like redness to the skin – bringing the body’s healing efforts to the affected area.

  • Raindrop Technique is a unique procedure using essential oils to help encourage detoxification and relaxation to the body.

  • Reiki is energy work that is very healing and profoundly relaxing.

It is always my priority to deliver the style of massage that you need and want, which is sometimes difficult to balance, but with patient input and communication this goal can be effectively achieved.
